SwissICT is one of the leading associations of the information and communications technology sector in Switzerland. SwissICT represents the interests of its members vis-à-vis public authorities, politics, and the general public and actively lobbies for the computer science framework conditions (business development, professional education, image, and goodwill). In doing so, in the interests of its members SwissICT goes for an active role characterized by a strong media presence and the exertion of influence on politics and trade. SI is conductive to the information- and communicationtechnologies (ICT) in Switzerland from research to employment in practice. With its 2000 academic and non-academic members which are operative in this section, SI is the biggest association of individuals who are active in informatics in Switzerland.

JUGS aims at promoting the application of Java technology in Switzerland.

JUGS facilitates the sharing of experience and information among its members. This is accomplished through workshops, seminars and conferences. JUGS also encourages the cooperation between commercial organizations and research institutions.
