SOA Certified Architect Workshop 2009

In cooperation with SOASchool.com, the SOA Forum and [ipt] are pleased to announce the SOA Certified Architect Workshop, scheduled for June 15-19, 2009 and now open for public registration. Available for the first time in Switzerland, this bootcamp-style training session will provide you with the opportunity to attain an industry-recognized certification as part of the SOA Certified Professional program.
Participants can register for one or more course days - each course is priced individually and there is a package price for those who register for the entire five-day workshop. Registration fees include all required materials, including full-color courseware, text books, and certificates. Please note that seating is limited.

Exams
You are not required to complete exams to attend this workshop. Exams only need to be completed by those interested in attaining certification credit for the courses. Attendees that do not take the exams are still issued an official "Certificate of Completion" for this workshop. Exams for all courses will be available via Prometric testing centers throughout Switzerland and Europe. When registering for a course you can purchase a Prometric exam voucher in advance at a discount.
What is the price of certification exams?
If purchased together with the workshop, each exams is $100 USD. The regular price at a Prometric center is $150 USD – $175 USD. See www.prometric.com/soacp for locations in Switzerland.

Dr. Paul Buhler
Instructor
Dr. Paul Buhler is a senior SOA consultant with SOA Systems Inc. and a Certified SOA Trainer for SOASchool.com. With over 20 years of professional experience, Paul is a respected researcher, practitioner, and educator of service-oriented computing, SOA, and services-based technologies. He received his PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina; his dissertation research combined issues of service-orientation, Web services, and agent-based computing. He has authored 20 published papers regarding SOA, agent-based computing, and Web service composition. Paul serves on the SOA Education Committee and the program committees of many of the international conferences and workshops relevant to the advancement of service-oriented computing and service engineering. In addition, Paul provides strategic consulting services to both government and commercial clients. His expertise has been sought in areas of enterprise architecture, open source middleware, complex event processing, semantic Web technologies and cloud computing.
